Most of you know me from the Weight Watchers message boards as Lindzypt. If you made your way to this spot from there, welcome! I started this blog as a way to hold myself accountable for the numerous things in my life, weight issues included. I've always struggled with me weight and been the "big kid" Throughout high school I relied on my sense of humor, and personality to get me through. I was never fat, just "big" I used my size for my advantage and threw shot put. I even went to states. Life was good.
I tried weight watchers my Sophomore year of Undergrad. I had gained what you could call the Freshman 20+, to put it nicely. I didn't really find a reason to change until something clicked in my head during spring semester of Sophomore year. I was taking group exercise classes and really getting back into fitness. I asked my aerobics instructor if she had any tips on weight loss. She suggested Weight Watchers. I must have looked at her like I was crazy, because she assured me it wasn't just for middle aged women. I couldn't believe this fitness phenom used weight watchers, she didn't look like she needed to lose a pound.
So in March of 2006 I embarked on my first weight loss journey. I started at my highest weight of 220 pounds. How had I let myself get to this weight? That's easy, all you can eat cafeteria food and a lazy attitude about exercise and a healthy lifestyle. But after about 8 months I managed to get to my lowest weight of 172 pounds. I was happy and vowed I would never allow myself to gain the weight back. And I didn't until recently. My weight slowly crept back on and before I knew it I was knocking on the door to 200 pounds, a place I vowed I would never set foot in again.
Join me on my journey as I join weight watchers again to reach goal once and for all.
